Storming in to 2012 Gareth Emery gears himself for an epic year, and what better way to announce this intention, than with the extraordinarily large new tune forthcoming on the Garuda label named “Concrete Angel”.

A massive track featuring the astonishing voice from female singer/songwriter Christina Novelli, a name unknown to us all, and yet, this young lady has blown us all away in a heartbeat, her strikingly attractive and very angelic voice seems to have fallen down to earth from the skies above and enchanted every one of us. It is not only a great start for Gareth, but an outstanding introduction to Christina Novelli. I am sure I can speak for many when I say that I hope it isn’t the last time we are graced with this tremendous voice.

The melody itself delivers a sumptuous bassline, fused with opulent synths, a generous smattering of tightly knitted beats and clean crisp percussion that goes on to embrace the soft glacial sweeps and emotionally bound hook. Couple that with Christina Novelli and you’re inevitably on to a winner.

The video to “Concrete Angel,” is a form of art in itself, the buzzling nightlife and vibrant lights dazzle, thriving from buildings all around. Almost as though developed around the construction of a soundboard, as stated by one of our readers. It truly is a unique video that suits this release impeccably well. Since it’s first publication on the 9th of January this video has already garnered a massive 95,074 views and continues to grow each day.
