Reviewed: Snatt & Vix feat. Denise Rivera – Here For The Rush

Amsterdam Trance Records is a new label owned by Raz Nitzan and Adrian Broekhuyse (Sir Adrian), the talented writing duo behind many of the biggest vocal trance tracks of recent years – ‘Shivers’, ‘Rain’, ‘Winter Stayed’, ‘The Sound of Goodbye’, ‘Sunset Boulevard’, ‘Beauty Hides In The Deep’….I don’t think I need to go on. The label’s focus is on releasing quality vocal trance, so it’s with nervous excitement we check out their first offering, ‘Here For The Rush’ by Snatt & Vix featuring Denise Rivera.

Tight percs shuffle as a buzzing bass drives us through the first build up to where the vocal drops and inevitably pulls us in. Fans of Beat Service or First State will feel very at home with this track. Throughout the verse, Denise Rivera’s soulful performance is enveloping and perfectly complemented by the progressive/club style of Snatt & Vix’s backing production.

The breakdown is drenched in ambient vocals, while the main vocal hook is contagious. It’s likely you’ll be humming “‘Cos I’m here for the rush” long after your first listen. The track soon comes to an uplifting climax where Snatt & Vix show us they know how to deliver a great, crowd friendly drop.

A solid, melody driven track from these talented Romanian producers with an impeccable vocal from the consistently brilliant Denise Rivera. We’re expecting a bright future for this fledgling label!
