“Be not afraid of growing slowly; be afraid only of standing still.” – Chinese Proverb
Many people, spend years of their life knocking themselves down, thinking they’re not good enough to make something of themselves. However they continue to try, they push on, for days, months, and even years. Sometimes they will be happy with their achievements and other times they will think the cycle never ends, feeling rejected and depressed because they’re not getting to where they want to be quickly enough. Have no fear…Hello utubes Ronald Jenkees is here, fake? no this is no joke, this young man is an inspiration to all of those people out there that think they can’t make something of themselves, read on….
How to snap your finger the cool way
“Follow your honest convictions, and stay strong.” – William Thackeray
Ronald Jenkees is the kind of young man millions of you would laugh at, you would find him geeky and would punish him for being that way, and yet Ronald Jenkees is possibly one of the most down to earth, and laid back dudes you will ever come to know. Throughout his vast collection of youtube videos, he will teach you how to click your fingers, how to play a recorder like a snake in the jungle, and how his best mate is crap at washing dishes. Ronald even shares a quick video on his JVC CD player in his car, where he unfolds that he loves a bit of Hip Hop and Rap.
Watch on as Ronald Jenkees begins a musical quest, based merely on doing what he enjoys, no stresses about fame, when he will make his next hit or whether or not people like what he does. Carefree Jenkees, shares over the years a lot of humorous little videos, blogging his creative thoughts and musical actions brought about by a $1 recorder, whilst in addition uncovering a hidden talent that most of you couldn’t even imagine coming from such a character.
Be aware of the growth in his fan base, and search further in to this guy. Currently inspiring everyone as a mad rush of youths and older people re-create his songs and spin their interpretations on his music. It doesn’t stop there either, the creativity spirals on in different forms worldwide. I guess the moral of this on-going story is: forget about becoming famous and how to get yourself to the top – just enjoy what you love most, work hard, practise and you will gain what you deserve automatically.

Video collection:
He started out doing some video diaries on youtube about 5 or 6 years ago, here’s one of his first diary entries where he’s having a moan about his flatmate who needs to do the dishes:
Shortly after he introduces that he likes music, he doesn’t know how to play but he enjoys it, here he is playing with his flatmates flute: (April ’06)
A month later he buys a harmonica: (May ’06)
The next day, his girlfriend gets him a new recorder from the dollar store: (May ’06)
A month later he’s got a new car stereo (June ’06)
And he shows us he can play the snare drums on his hips: (July ’06)
In august he shows everybody that he’s been playing around with a midi keyboard and some beats on his computer: (August ’06)
Meanwhile, he’s still just blogging away (how to snap your fingers)
Where’s this going you say? Well, turns out he’s a bit musical, so he does a few little jams on youtube: (September ’06)
There’s a few more like this here, you can check yourself later, but.. shortly after somebody said his stuff was “whak”, he didn’t know if that was good or not, but he’d just got out from watching Rocky at the cinema so he thought he’d respond: (February ’07)
the next month (March ’07)
[He threw together a quick cd a couple of months later]
then did fast song: (July ’07)
by a year later? well, see for yourself: (March ’08)
a couple of months later? (August ’08)
Now lets take a look at how far he has come, remembering he first started out with a $1 recorder bought for him by his girlfriend and a harmonica. (17th October ’08)
Another inspiring story from Emma Gillespie
After years of trying and never really getting anywhere. Emma started busking on the streets of Glasgow. Soon after entered a tv show, and won 100k from it and managed to get signed to Gary Barlows label. She had a long road but she is now doing what she has always wanted. Check Emma out here
Finally I leave you with something to think about
