“Awakenings” is Super8 & Tab‘s first Anjunabeats release for just over 12 months and the first release from them since their “Empire” album campaign. It was a big highlight from Above & Beyond‘s TATW400 set, Armin supported on ASOT, as did Gareth Emery, Paul Van Dyk and Ferry Corsten. Basically, Super8 & Tab are back and back at their very best!

Super8 & Tab’s “Awakenings” has enjoyed a flood of online buzz and anticipation ever since this high profile debut airing. The first full release from Miika Eloranta (Super8) and Janne Mansnerus (DJ Tab) for just over 12 months, “Awakenings” is an electrifying return – teeming with energy, groove and melody.

Beginning on a cheeky electro-house influenced groove, “Awakenings” brings Super8 & Tab’s distinctive twist to the modern trance sound – before arriving at a towering, intensely uplifting melodic breakdown with all the hallmarks of classic Super8 & Tab. Dropping into an energetic and euphoric release, “Awakenings” is an impressive sign of what’s to come from the Finnish duo.

Another act making a welcome return to the label, US-based duo Tritonal get freaky and technical with the synth riff – as well as roughing up the groove. A futuristic, fresh, highly charged and inventive remix, Tritonal’s remix is the perfect companion and another slick modern trance groover.
