‘Home’ – the new EP by 19-year-old pop-folk songstress Gabrielle Aplin – is out January 9th, on her own Never Fade Records.

Written by Gabrielle, it’s a frank and honest exposition of her musical and personal development and marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the Bath born teenager. The ‘Home’ EP follows the success of Gabrielle’s previously self-released EPs the ‘Acoustic’ EP and ‘Never Fade’, the latter having peaked at No.14 in the iTunes Chart.

Opening with ‘Home’, an acoustic idyll built around layers of subtle instrumentation, things gather pace with full-bodied nu-folk shuffle ‘Keep Pushing Me’ and upfront break-up ditty ‘Romeo Must Die’, which bring Gabrielle’s zestier side to the fore.

Embellished with whistles and hand claps ‘Out On My Own’ pays heed to that pivotal life changing moment – leaving home – and errs just on the right side of sentimental. And as things draw to a close with soft focus piano ballad finale ‘Let Me In’, it’s an emotionally stirring end to an emotionally varied record.

Gabrielle has already made an impressive online imprint, amassing over 6.5 million plays on her YouTube channel and over 35,000 subscribers, as well as 22,000+ likes on Facebook and 7,000+ followers on Twitter. She played several festivals this summer, including Glastonbury and Secret Garden Party and has taken in three headline UK tours, with sold out shows in Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Bath and London. She tours the UK in March.
