Ad Brown’s L.A. opens with an airy synth coupled to a nicely paced bouncing bassline, the percussion is simple yet effective. Many elements of classic euphoric trance are present, and the track boasts a steady progressive bassline which stays ever present throughout as a series of build-ups each introduces a new element to the track. This is a production which isn’t scared to take it’s time and give each sound it’s own space with the composition, effortlessly captivating and easy to listen to.

Alfoa’s “Angel City” Mix features an alternative melody tied to a more upbeat percussion, though it still remains recognisable. This rendition is more complex than the original, yet not crowded, it feels somewhat more driven and a little more engaging. Alfoa has delivered a well produced, inoffensive, genre conforming remix which compliments the Original Mix nicely.

At the other end of the spectrum we have Cid Inc’s Remix, building from a resonating hearty bassline which keeps roughly the same momentum as the original, Cid Inc merge in other worldly synths to create an intense atmosphere. The remix feels like a mix from the dark-side and contrasts Alfoa’s ‘Angel City’ mix perfectly. It’s a precise technical inversion of the original, one of those tracks which invites you to steadily increase the volume, and truth be told it’s hard not to become entirely engrossed.

Finally, Matt Lange gives us a very distinctive remix, where Cid Inc inverts, Matt turns the track inside out and re-introduces it. One can’t help but feel like Lange is a decade ahead of the rest of us, and has brought this remix back from 2022. Intensity grows exponentially throughout, and Matt takes care to focus the listener, drawing attention to the details missed by the others, reworking them and bringing the to the fore. This remix has a magical element towards the end, hard to achieve with a strong electronic tech remix, which is perhaps what makes it so unique, and enjoyable.

This is a well balanced and thoroughly enjoyable release from Nueva, and one we highly recommend.
