At a time when the primary focus of most artists is genre bending and fusion, the UK based duo of Akira Kayosa & Hugh Tolland have chosen to specialise and perfect – their latest release, ‘Always With You’, is the embodiment of this specialisation. They have produced the very best classic uplifting trance, refined it, and complemented it perfectly with vocals from Stine Grove.

The Original Mix of ‘Always with You’ timelessly conforms to the genre of uplifting vocal trance, exceeds all expectations, and has all the features of a future classic. As one would expect from a release of this calibre, a Dub mix of the original is present, and true to form it’s slightly shorter, focuses on the instrumentals, enhances some of Stine’s more tonal vocals, cuts the lyrics, and all in proves to be a nice uplifting instrumental alternative.

Lee Canning delivers one of the two remixes, this Australian producer gives the track a notable tempo shift, focus on the more electronic aspects, and combines the tonal vocals with a very trancey bass – the end product is a strong uplifting club version of ‘Always With You’, one which will easily bring substance to any set.

On the other hand, Steve Brian has taken ‘Always With You’, ran it through his production machine, giving it his trademark twist and an injection of caffeine on the way, and produced a distinctive hard hitting and energetic progressive trance number. This remix is simply golden.

A solid release from Perceptive Recordings, top marks for both skill and effort to all the names involved in creating ‘Always With You’, this is one that’s well worth investing in.
