Perceptive Recordings the renowned label who unearthed the mesmerizing Trance guru Andy Blueman, shines through once more with this latest release Flash Forward Vol One, mixed by ReOrder, an artist whose rise to fame has seen him perform on a European stage and feature on prestigious labels such as Perfecto and Discover. The Flash Forward Volume One compilation consists of 13 tracks carefully selected and mixed by ReOrder, which perfectly showcases that illustrious ReOrder sound, while also paying a special homage to the Perceptive Recordings label with the inclusion of many greats from the labels releases.
Opening the album comes the delicate intro Arisen Flame ’More Than A Feeling’, The rainfall cleanses the soul and the tender piano plucks at the heart-strings delivering a refreshing yet subtle entrance. Scott Lowe & Duncan Brewer‘s ‘Forgetting Things’ gallops on in with a succulent bass, building hook and uplifting piano pads, a great production from the guys that infatuates every inch of the listener. Keeping up with the gathering pace comes JP Bates & Antonia Lucas‘ track - ‘Closer’, a luxurious melody embraces the first vocal track of this compilation, and what a vocal this is. ReOrder’s rendition is sheer brilliance. Next up comes Timo Pralle‘s – ‘Homesick’, an epic production blessed with a Temple One remix, that unleashes an emotional melancholia melody, driving bass and lots of peak-time bliss. Watch out for the breakdown, and soak in those heaven-scent vibes.
ReOrder‘s very own production ‘Aisuru’ is up next, this track homes a spiritual melody intent on replenishing the mind with tortuous synths, and oceans of sentimental atmosphere. Miroslav Vrlik‘s ‘Only You‘, and my personal favourite Akira Kayosa & Hugh Tolland‘s ‘Drifter’, are superbly produced, ‘Only You’, offers a thrusting hook and lots of progressive elements, while ‘Drifter’, goes on to submerge you deep in to the heart of this compilation, leaving you with the sense that something epic is about to happen. Rightly so it does, Oen Bearen & Pillow’s ‘Until Hell Freezes Over (Ferry Tayle Remix)’, instantly grips, stops you in your tracks and meditatively owns your physical structure. Leaving you in total awe, this track is absolutely stunning and enters the heart of this compilation flawlessly well.
Another especially pleasing vocal comes in to play with ReOrder‘ feat. Stine Grove’s ’White Sands Of Ibiza‘, an elegant wash of strikingly impressive lyrics, sweeping lines, and glittering melodious tones that grace this compilation beautifully. Shortly followed by Alex Wright‘s track ‘By Chance’, ReOrder‘s soothing ballad ’Every Other Day’, and Fast Distance & Dimension’s ‘Heaven Rain’, all three tracks are dripping with heavenly atmosphere, deliver stacks of sparkling emotion and soothe to the bone through sedative melodies. The last leg of this epic journey reveals the cream of the crop, and what a magnificent track to finish this compilation, Running Man‘s ‘Amnesia (SoundLift’s Emotional Take)’, wow what can I say – I shall let this one speak for itself. ;)
