Walking the fine line of trance, house and progressive, we find Dutch DJ and producer Ruben de Ronde right in the middle of all things. No borders can stop this talent from touching the very edge of different styles, from the trancy ‘Forever In Our Hearts’ to the deeper, arousing progressive ‘Grands Boulevards’ and big room tech-track ‘Stoer’. Now Ruben unleashes his first release of 2012 namely, “She’s Already Gone”.

The Vocal Mix took me by surprise if I’m honest, it’s not Ruben’s usual type of production, nevertheless; it’s a noble effort. Loved the quirky backdrops and his creative madness. Ruben’s attention to detail is certainly thriving here. Couple that with the lovely voice of Aelyn and your on to a winner.

The Instrumental Mix has to be my favourite, sometimes the production skills within the melody need a place to shine, and for me without the vocal presence they certainly do shine. Again as with the vocal mix, there is a lot of innovation going on here, I especially enjoyed how each added element breathes life in to the final hook. The hook itself is exceedingly voracious, a generous bassline dances alongside a smattering of colourful beats, and revolving mechanical drops.

Good work Ruben!
