Timo Pralle – Homesick Reviewed

Label: Perceptive Recordings
Reviewed by: Shrey

It was summer of 2007 which brought an outstanding trance artist on the global stage. He was Andy Blueman from Slovenia on a new label from UK: Perceptive Recordings. It’s not everyday you come across such a magnificent piece of music as the debut release of a label. 4 years has passed since that divine phenomenon, but the quality persists. With each release, this label is getting stronger and stronger, dishing out beautifully crafted music with the same honesty as ‘Nyctalopia’. German artist Timo Pralle continues this heavenly journey with 53rd release on Perceptive, called ‘Homesick’. He has truly found his home!

01. Homesick (Uplifting Mix):

Delving straight into the peaktime territory, this one drives its way through the break with huge kickdrum and playful plucks. A sudden rendezvous with a suave pianoline calls for a big smile, just when huge strings envelopes you and bursts out with a brilliant synth driven melody. Just when you thought your world can’t be more grim, this one restores your faith!

02. Homesick (Temple One Remix):

The bassline is phatter and the pace is a bit slow as Joe Garett works his charm on the already majestic original. The arpeggiated lead introduced in the break is all over the place following a nice buildup. Staying very very close to the original, Temple One mix is a wonderful alternative!

03. Homesick (Downtempo Mix):

Now this one rounds off the package in the most satisfying way. Time to slow down a bit, close your eyes and immerse yourself in this serene downtempo rendition of the original. Mellow beats, sweet plucks and a dreamy atmosphere with lush pads awaits you to take a walk down the memory lane. 8 minutes of chilled out aural ecstasy.

Being his 3rd release in 3 years, Timo Pralle has nailed it once again! Perceptive Recordings continuous to spread its beauteous wings of melodic trance, as ‘Homesick’ strikes all the right chords!
P.S. Temple One Mix included in the Flash Forward Vol.1, mixed by ReOrder!
